The Expamet 543D3000 external movement bead is a specialist stainless steel profile designed to accommodate expansion and contraction in external plaster and render systems. Supplied in a box of 14, each bead measures 3000mm long with a 16mm movement gap, making it ideal for professional plasterers and contractors who require robust, reliable solutions for external movement joints. Please note, these beads are not suitable for coastal locations or corrosive environments and should not be used with gypsum-based plasters.

Application

Specifically engineered for external plaster and render systems, this movement bead allows for controlled expansion and contraction, helping to prevent cracking and damage to finishes. The perforated stainless steel wing provides a strong mechanical key for plaster adhesion, while the PVC connection accommodates movement and prevents water ingress. Use this bead in external walls where movement joints are required, fixing at intervals not exceeding 600mm. It is essential to avoid damage during installation by not using abrasives on the bead and to use stainless steel fixings where applicable.
