The Catnic CXL350 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 5200mm is engineered to support heavy loads in cavity wall construction, making it the preferred choice for builders and contractors handling demanding projects. Its robust design and galvanised finish ensure long-term reliability on site. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during build.

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity walls with a 150-165mm cavity width and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. It is ideal for structural openings requiring exceptional load-bearing capacity such as large window or door headers in commercial or residential developments. The lintel’s strength suits projects where safety and compliance with building regulations are critical.

Type

Extreme load cavity wall lintel

The lintel is manufactured from a universal beam section combined with a 6mm structural steel plate, ensuring maximum strength and durability. It must be laterally restrained and supported with a minimum 200mm bearing at each end. Load ratios between inner and outer leaves should be maintained between 5:1 and 19:1 to achieve specified loading performance. Optional expanded metal mesh reinforcement can be supplied on request.

Important: The lintel is supplied without an integral DPC; a separate flexible damp proof course must be installed during construction to prevent moisture penetration.
