Application

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity walls with a cavity width between 150mm and 165mm and an inner leaf thickness of 110mm to 115mm. It is ideal for projects involving substantial structural loads such as multi-storey developments, commercial builds, or where heavy masonry or blockwork is used above openings. The post-galvanised finish offers excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for external walls exposed to weather.

Type

Extreme load cavity wall lintel

Lintels are manufactured from a universal beam section combined with a 6mm structural steel plate, ensuring maximum load-bearing capacity. Standard lengths are available in 50mm increments up to 6600mm. Optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied fixed to the base plate upon request. To achieve specified load ratings, lintels must be laterally restrained with minimum 200mm end bearing supports and inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1.
