Details

The Catnic CXL350 Extreme Load cavity wall lintel is engineered specifically for builders and contractors tackling demanding structural openings. Its robust steel construction and precise design make it an excellent choice for cavity walls between 150 and 165mm, offering reliable support where heavy loads are involved. Please note that this lintel requires a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) to be installed during construction.

Application

This lintel is ideal for large openings in cavity brick or block walls where extreme loading conditions apply. Typical uses include commercial and residential developments requiring strong lintel support for heavy masonry or structural elements. It must be installed with a minimum 200mm end bearing on each side and lateral restraint to achieve the specified load capacity. Inner to outer leaf load ratios should be maintained between 5:1 and 19:1 for optimal performance.
