The Catnic CXL330 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding construction projects requiring robust support across wide openings. Ideal for builders, contractors, and developers working on cavity walls with inner leaves between 110-115mm and cavity widths of 130-145mm, this lintel combines structural strength with long-term durability thanks to its galvanised finish. Please note, a separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction to ensure effective moisture barrier performance.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for heavy load-bearing cavity walls, commonly used in commercial and residential building projects where structural integrity over large spans is critical. It is suitable for use above doors, windows, and other openings in walls with specified cavity and inner leaf dimensions. The lintel requires lateral restraint and a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to achieve its load capacity. An optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied fixed to the base plate to assist with plaster keying if required.
