Details

The Catnic CXL330 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where heavy load support is critical. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on cavity walls between 130mm and 145mm wide, this lintel offers robust performance and corrosion resistance thanks to its galvanised steel construction. Please note a separate flexible DPC must be installed during the build.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for use in cavity walls with an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, supporting substantial loads in commercial and residential projects. Its universal beam section and 6mm structural steel plate make it suitable for openings requiring extreme load-bearing capacity, such as large window or door spans where structural integrity is paramount.

Type

For optimal performance, the lintel requires lateral restraint and minimum 200mm end bearing supports. Inner to outer leaf load ratios must be maintained between 5:1 and 19:1. An optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied attached to the base plate to assist with plaster keying if required.
