The Catnic CXL330 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 4700mm is engineered for builders and contractors tackling heavy structural loads in cavity wall construction. Its robust design and high-grade materials make it an excellent choice for demanding projects requiring reliable load-bearing performance. Please note that a separate flexible DPC must be installed during build, and the image is for illustration purposes only.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting masonry above large openings in cavity walls measuring 130-145mm in width with an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. It is frequently specified on commercial and residential developments where extreme load conditions exist, such as multi-storey blocks or heavy cladding systems. To ensure structural integrity, lintels must be laterally restrained and bear on supports of at least 200mm at each end.

Lengths are available in 50mm increments up to 6600mm if longer spans are needed. An optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied fixed to the base plate for added support. Remember that a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction to prevent moisture ingress.
