The Catnic CXL330 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 4500mm is engineered specifically for demanding building projects requiring robust support across wide openings. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working with cavity walls of 130-145mm and inner leaves of 110-115mm, this lintel offers reliable strength and corrosion protection through its galvanised finish. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed on site during construction.

Application

This lintel is tailored for heavy-duty load-bearing applications where standard lintels may not suffice. It is commonly used in commercial and residential developments with wide cavity walls, providing essential support over doors, windows, and other openings. Correct installation requires lateral restraint and a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to ensure structural integrity. The lintel can also be supplied with an optional expanded metal mesh on the base plate to aid plaster keying.
