Details

The Catnic CXL330 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 2600mm is engineered for heavy-duty structural support in cavity wall construction. Designed specifically for professional builders and site managers, this lintel offers reliable load-bearing capacity for demanding projects where strength and durability are critical. Please note that a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction, as this is not supplied with the lintel.

Application

Ideal for cavity walls with a 130-145mm gap and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, this lintel is commonly specified for high-load situations such as multi-storey developments, commercial buildings, or areas requiring extreme structural performance. Its design supports heavy masonry loads while ensuring the cavity remains structurally sound. The lintel must be laterally restrained with a minimum 200mm bearing on each end and used where inner to outer leaf load ratios fall between 5:1 and 19:1 to meet specified load capacities.

For applications requiring additional protection, Catnic CXL lintels can be supplied with expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate as an optional extra.
