The Catnic CXL310 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 5700mm is engineered for demanding structural projects requiring robust support over wide openings. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on cavity walls with inner leaf thicknesses of 110-115mm and cavities between 110-125mm, this lintel combines strength and durability with reliable corrosion resistance thanks to its post-galvanised finish. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) is required and must be installed during construction.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for extreme load conditions in cavity wall construction, supporting substantial masonry above large window or door openings. It is commonly specified on commercial and residential developments where structural integrity and compliance with building regulations are paramount. The lintel must be laterally restrained on site and supported by a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to meet load requirements. It is suitable for use with inner leaf to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1.
