Details

The Catnic CXL310 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 5500mm is engineered for contractors and site managers working on demanding structural projects. Manufactured from high-grade structural steel and finished with a robust galvanised coating, this lintel ensures reliable support for cavity walls within the specified dimensions. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed alongside this lintel.

Application

This lintel is ideal for use in cavity wall construction where extreme load-bearing capacity is essential, such as in commercial developments or multi-storey buildings. It supports inner leaf thicknesses between 110-115mm and cavity widths of 110-125mm. The lintel must be laterally restrained and installed with a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to achieve the specified load capacities. Optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied to enhance bonding with masonry if required.
