Details

The Catnic CXL310 Extreme Load cavity wall lintel at 5300mm is engineered for builders and contractors tackling heavy-load structural openings in cavity wall construction. With a robust galvanised finish and manufactured from high-grade structural steel, it offers reliable support where strength and durability are critical. Please note a separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction as this lintel does not include one.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity walls with a cavity width of 110-125mm and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. It supports substantial loads in serious building projects such as large openings in brick or block walls, steel-reinforced structures, and commercial developments. Its high load capacity makes it suitable for use where heavy structural elements are present and lateral restraint and bearing conditions can be met.

Type

The lintel is supplied in standard 50mm length increments up to 6600mm. Optional expanded metal mesh can be added to the base plate if required. To achieve the specified load ratings, ensure proper lateral restraint, minimum 200mm end bearing supports, and inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1 are maintained.
