The Catnic CXL310 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 3900mm is engineered for builders and contractors working on heavy-duty masonry projects requiring robust structural support. Its galvanised finish and high-grade steel construction ensure reliability and long service life on site. Please note, a separate flexible DPC must be fitted during installation to maintain moisture protection.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting large openings in cavity walls with a cavity width of 110-125mm and an inner leaf thickness between 110-115mm. It’s commonly used in commercial and residential developments where extreme load-bearing capacity is essential, such as for wide window or door openings. To achieve specified load ratings, the lintel must be laterally restrained and have minimum 200mm bearing at each end. It can also be supplied with optional expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate for enhanced plaster keying.
