Details

The Catnic CXL310 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 3800mm is engineered for demanding structural projects where strength and reliability are paramount. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on cavity walls with heavy load requirements, this lintel provides robust support and long-term durability. Please note, the lintel is supplied without a damp proof course (DPC), which must be installed separately during construction.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity walls with a cavity width of 110-125mm and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. It is well suited for use in load-bearing openings where extreme load capacity is essential, such as commercial buildings, multi-storey developments, and heavy masonry structures. To achieve the specified load ratings, the lintel must be laterally restrained and installed with a minimum 200mm end bearing support. Inner to outer leaf load ratios should be maintained between 5:1 and 19:1 for optimal performance.
