The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding construction projects requiring robust support over wide openings. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working with cavity walls between 90-105mm and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, this lintel provides reliable strength and durability. Please note a separate flexible DPC must be fitted during installation to ensure moisture protection.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for heavy-duty cavity wall applications where extreme load-bearing capacity is essential. It is suitable for large openings in residential and commercial buildings, supporting masonry above doorways, windows, and other structural gaps. The lintel must be installed with at least 200mm bearing at each end and be laterally restrained to achieve its full load capacity. Additionally, inner to outer leaf load ratios should range from 5:1 to 19:1 for optimal performance.
