Details

The Catnic CXL290 extreme load cavity wall lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where strength and reliability are paramount. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on serious load-bearing cavity wall projects, this lintel delivers robust performance and long-term durability. Please note, a separate flexible damp-proof course (DPC) must be installed on site as this is not included.

Application

Specifically designed for cavity walls with a width of 90-105mm and an inner leaf thickness between 110-115mm, the CXL290 lintel supports extreme loads in both residential and commercial construction. It is best suited to projects requiring heavy structural support over openings such as large windows and doorways. For optimal performance, ensure the lintel is laterally restrained with a minimum 200mm end bearing support and maintain inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1.
