Details

The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where heavy loads must be safely supported across cavity walls. Supplied at 5250mm length, this lintel is ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers specifying reliable, high-capacity lintels for cavity widths between 90 and 105mm and inner leaf thicknesses of 110 to 115mm. Please note that a separate flexible DPC is required during installation.

Application

This lintel is designed to carry extreme loads in cavity wall construction, commonly specified in commercial developments, large-scale residential builds, and structural refurbishment projects. It must be installed with lateral restraint and a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to ensure performance. The lintel supports inner to outer leaf load ratios from 5:1 up to 19:1, making it suitable for heavy masonry and blockwork above openings such as windows and doors.
