The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 4950mm is engineered for contractors and site managers handling serious structural projects. Its robust design suits cavity walls between 90-105mm, paired with an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, making it a reliable choice for heavy load-bearing applications. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction as it is not included with the lintel.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting openings in masonry walls where high structural loads are present, such as large window or door spans on residential and commercial developments. It is specifically designed for cavity wall construction with precise inner and outer leaf dimensions. To achieve optimal load performance, ensure lateral restraint and provide at least 200mm bearing at each end. For enhanced stability, inner to outer load ratios should range between 5:1 and 19:1.
