The Catnic CXL290 is a specialist extreme load cavity wall lintel engineered for builders, contractors, and site managers working on heavy structural masonry projects. Its robust design and galvanised finish make it a dependable choice for supporting large loads over cavity walls with inner leaf thicknesses of 110-115mm. Please note, the lintel is supplied without a DPC, which must be installed separately during construction.

Application

This lintel is specifically intended for use in cavity walls with a 90-105mm cavity width and an inner leaf between 110-115mm, commonly found in commercial or high-spec residential developments. Its design supports extreme loads and requires lateral restraint and minimum 200mm end bearing to achieve specified load ratios. It is well suited for openings above doors, windows, or other structural penetrations where heavy masonry or blockwork is present.
