The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 4400mm length is engineered for demanding structural applications where heavy loads need reliable support. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on cavity wall constructions with inner leaf thicknesses between 110-115mm and cavity widths of 90-105mm, this lintel combines strength and corrosion resistance to ensure long-term performance. Please note that a separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction to maintain moisture protection.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed to carry extreme load demands in cavity wall builds, commonly found in commercial and residential projects requiring robust support over openings such as doors and windows. It is suitable for use where high structural loads are imposed, provided that the lintel is laterally restrained and supported with a minimum 200mm bearing at each end. The inner to outer leaf load ratio must fall between 5:1 and 19:1 to achieve the rated performance.
