The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 3500mm is engineered for builders and contractors handling demanding cavity wall structures. Its robust design ensures dependable support where heavy loads are expected, making it a trusted choice for serious construction projects. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during the build.

Application

This lintel is suitable for cavity walls with cavity widths between 90mm and 105mm, paired with inner leaf thicknesses of 110mm to 115mm. It is ideal for projects requiring high load-bearing capacity such as commercial or multi-storey residential developments. The lintel must be laterally restrained and installed with minimum 200mm end bearings to achieve the specified load ratings. Additionally, inner to outer leaf load ratios should be maintained between 5:1 and 19:1 for optimal structural integrity.
