Details

The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load cavity wall lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where high load-bearing capacity is essential. Ideal for builders, contractors and site managers working on cavity walls with 90-105mm cavities and inner leaf thickness between 110-115mm, this lintel offers proven reliability and durability on serious building projects. Please note a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction.

Application

This lintel is designed to carry heavy loads over openings in cavity walls, commonly used in residential and commercial developments requiring strong support for masonry or blockwork above windows, doors or other apertures. It is suitable for use where lateral restraint can be applied and end bearings of at least 200mm are provided. The lintel’s design accommodates inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1, making it suitable for a wide range of structural conditions.
