Details

The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load cavity wall lintel is engineered for demanding structural openings where high load capacities are essential. Ideal for builders, site managers, and contractors working on substantial masonry projects, this lintel combines robust S275 grade steel construction with a protective post-galvanised finish for long-lasting performance. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction to ensure optimal moisture protection.

Application

Specifically designed for cavity walls with a 90-105mm cavity and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, the CXL290 lintel is suitable for heavy load-bearing situations such as lintels over large window and door openings in both residential and commercial builds. Its universal beam section and 6mm structural steel plate provide excellent strength and reliability when properly supported with 200mm end bearings and lateral restraints. This lintel is particularly useful on sites requiring robust steel lintels capable of handling extreme loads.
