The Catnic CXL290 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where robust load support is critical. Made for builders, contractors, and site managers working with cavity walls between 90-105mm and inner leaf thicknesses of 110-115mm, this lintel offers reliable strength and corrosion resistance thanks to its galvanised finish. Please note that a separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction to ensure proper damp proofing.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting heavy loads over openings in cavity wall constructions such as doorways and windows in residential and commercial developments. Its design suits cavity widths of 90-105mm with inner leaf thickness from 110-115mm, making it suitable for brick, block, or stone inner leaves. The lintel requires lateral restraint and minimum 200mm end bearing supports to safely carry extreme loads. It can also be supplied with an optional expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate, enhancing plaster keying if required.
