Details

The Catnic CXL290 is a specialist extreme load cavity wall lintel engineered for demanding structural projects involving 90-105mm cavity walls and 110-115mm inner leaves. Its robust construction and galvanised finish ensure long-lasting performance, making it an ideal choice for builders and site managers needing reliable support in heavy-duty applications. Please note that a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during build, as this is not included with the lintel.

Application

This lintel is designed for use in cavity wall construction where high load-bearing capacity is essential, such as in multi-storey residential developments, commercial buildings, or heavy masonry projects. It requires proper lateral restraint and a minimum 200mm end bearing on supports to achieve the specified loading performance. The CXL290 is also suitable where inner to outer leaf load ratios range from 5:1 to 19:1, ensuring structural integrity under extreme conditions.
