Details

The Catnic CXL265 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is a specialist structural component designed for demanding building projects that require superior load-bearing performance. Ideal for builders, site managers and contractors working with cavity walls of 70-85mm and inner leaves of 110-115mm, this 2500mm lintel delivers dependable strength and long-term corrosion resistance thanks to its galvanised steel construction. Please note, a separate flexible damp-proof course (DPC) must be installed during build.

Application

This lintel is specifically engineered to support heavy loads above openings in cavity wall constructions, such as doorways and large window frames. It is suited to residential and commercial developments where structural reliability is critical. The lintel requires lateral restraint and should be installed with minimum 200mm end bearings. It supports inner to outer leaf load ratios ranging from 5:1 to 19:1, ensuring safe and stable distribution of weight across the wall.
