Details

The Catnic CXL265 is a specialist extreme load cavity wall lintel, engineered for builders and contractors working on demanding structural projects. At 2100mm long, this lintel is tailored for cavity wall openings where exceptional load-bearing capacity is essential. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Application

This lintel is ideal for heavy-duty cavity wall openings typically found in commercial and residential developments with 70-85mm cavities and 110-115mm inner leafs. It provides robust support over doors, windows, and other structural gaps where high load demands are present. The lintel requires lateral restraint and at least 200mm of end bearing to achieve its specified load ratings, making it suitable for serious projects where reliability is non-negotiable.

Lengths are available in 50mm increments up to 6600mm for larger openings. An optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied fixed to the base plate on request. Please remember, the lintel is supplied without the flexible DPC, which must be installed separately to ensure building regulations compliance and structural integrity.
