Manufactured from structural grade S275 steel with hot-dip galvanised finish for corrosion resistance.
Suitable for heavy structural loads with required lateral restraint and 200mm bearing support.
Note: Separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction; lintel supplied without DPC.

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding structural applications where heavy loads must be supported across cavity walls. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working on large-scale developments, this lintel offers reliable performance and durability thanks to its robust design and galvanised finish. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction as it is not included.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity walls with a cavity width of 50-65mm and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. It supports extreme loading conditions typical of commercial or substantial residential projects. The lintel must be laterally restrained and installed with a minimum 200mm end bearing to ensure structural integrity. It’s suitable for use in applications where high load ratios between inner and outer leaves (between 5:1 and 19:1) are required, making it a trusted choice for demanding trade environments.

Material

Structural grade S275 steel plate and universal beam section.

Optional extras include lintels with expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate for added strength and bonding. Remember to install a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) during construction as this is not supplied with the lintel.
