Details

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 6400mm is engineered for demanding structural applications where heavy loads are expected. Ideal for builders and contractors managing large cavity wall openings, this lintel delivers robust support with reliable corrosion protection, ensuring longevity on site. Please note that a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) is required and not included with the lintel.

Application

This lintel is specifically designed for cavity walls with a 50-65mm cavity and an inner leaf thickness between 110-115mm. It is suitable for large openings requiring extreme load-bearing capacity, such as commercial and residential developments with wide spans. To achieve the specified load ratings, the lintel must be installed with 200mm minimum end bearings and be laterally restrained. Builders should ensure inner to outer load ratios are maintained between 5:1 and 19:1 for safe use.
