The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding building projects where heavy structural loads must be supported reliably. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working with cavity walls between 50 and 65mm wide, this 5500mm lintel offers robust performance with a galvanised steel finish designed to withstand site conditions. Please note, a separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction to ensure proper moisture protection.

Application

This lintel is commonly used in commercial and residential cavity wall construction where extreme load-bearing capacity is essential. It suits cavity widths of 50-65mm with inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, providing critical support above openings such as doors and windows. The lintel must be laterally restrained on site and installed with at least 200mm end bearing to achieve its specified load ratings. It is also compatible with optional expanded metal mesh for enhanced base plate reinforcement.
