Details

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 5000mm length is engineered for builders and contractors handling demanding structural projects. Its robust design supports wide cavity walls, delivering reliable load-bearing capacity where it matters most. Please note, this lintel is supplied without a damp proof course (DPC), which must be installed separately during construction.

Application

This lintel is ideal for cavity walls with a width between 50mm and 65mm and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. It is frequently used in residential and commercial builds where heavy load-bearing lintels are required, such as over large openings or where extreme loading conditions apply. To achieve specified load capacities, the lintel must be installed with lateral restraint and a minimum 200mm bearing at each end. Inner to outer leaf load ratios should be maintained between 5:1 and 19:1.
