Constructed from Grade S275 structural steel with a post-manufacture hot-dip galvanised finish for long-lasting corrosion resistance on site.
Suitable for high load applications where lateral restraint and minimum 200mm end bearing supports are provided for optimum performance.
Separate flexible DPC must be installed during construction to prevent moisture ingress.

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for demanding structural projects requiring robust support over wide openings. Ideal for builders, contractors, and site managers working with cavity walls where heavy loads are anticipated, this lintel offers both strength and durability. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed alongside the lintel during construction.

Application

Specifically designed for cavity walls with widths from 50mm to 65mm and inner leaf thicknesses of 110mm to 115mm, this lintel is perfect for supporting heavy masonry and structural loads. It is commonly used in commercial and residential developments where high load-bearing capability is essential. To maintain structural integrity, the lintel must be laterally restrained and supported with a minimum 200mm end bearing at each side. This product also supports inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1, offering flexibility for various build scenarios.
