Details

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for structural applications demanding high load-bearing capacity. At 3300mm in length, it’s suited for builders, contractors and site managers working on cavity walls with 50-65mm cavities and 110-115mm inner leaves. This lintel combines robust construction with a post-galvanised finish, ensuring durability and reliability on site. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction, as it is not included.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting heavy masonry loads in cavity wall construction, particularly where extreme loading conditions exist. It is frequently specified for commercial and residential developments where structural integrity is critical. The lintel requires lateral restraint and a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to perform effectively. It can be used in both new builds and refurbishment projects where cavity widths and inner leaf thicknesses fall within the specified range.
