Details

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered specifically for demanding structural applications where heavy loads are expected. Suited to builders, contractors and site managers working on cavity wall constructions, this lintel offers reliable strength and corrosion resistance thanks to its high-grade steel and galvanised finish. Please note, a separate flexible DPC must be fitted on site as this is not included.

Application

This lintel is designed for cavity walls with a cavity width between 50mm and 65mm and an inner leaf thickness ranging from 110mm to 115mm. It supports extreme loads in larger openings where standard lintels would not suffice, making it ideal for commercial and residential projects requiring robust structural support. It must be laterally restrained and installed with a minimum 200mm bearing at each end to meet load specifications. For enhanced durability, optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied fixed to the base plate.
