The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel at 3100mm is engineered for demanding structural projects where strength and reliability are paramount. It is designed specifically for use in cavity walls with a 50-65mm cavity and inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm, making it the preferred choice for builders and contractors tackling heavy load requirements. Please note a separate flexible DPC must be installed on site during construction.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting masonry or blockwork over openings in cavity walls where extreme loading conditions exist, such as large window or door spans on commercial or residential sites. Optional expanded metal mesh can be supplied fixed to the base plate for enhanced bonding with mortar. To achieve the specified load ratios, ensure lintel is laterally restrained, with minimum 200mm end bearing supports and inner-to-outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1.
