Details

The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load cavity wall lintel is a specialist structural component designed for builders and contractors working on demanding projects requiring high load capacity. Ideal for 50-65mm cavity walls with a 110-115mm inner leaf, this lintel combines strength and durability with a galvanised steel finish to withstand harsh site conditions. Please note that a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction.

Application

This lintel is perfectly suited for use in cavity wall construction where heavy loads must be supported above openings such as doors and windows. It is widely used by site managers and structural contractors on commercial and residential builds requiring robust, reliable support. The lintel must be installed with 200mm minimum end bearing and lateral restraints to achieve specified load ratings. Optional expanded metal mesh can be added for enhanced stability at the base.
