Details

The Catnic CXL240 is a specialist extreme load cavity wall lintel engineered for builders, contractors, and site managers working on demanding structural projects. At 2800mm in length, it offers dependable support for cavity walls with a 50-65mm gap and an inner leaf thickness of 110-115mm. Please note, a separate flexible damp proof course (DPC) must be installed during construction to ensure proper moisture control.

Application

This lintel is ideal for heavy-duty load-bearing walls where high structural performance is essential. It is commonly used in new builds and refurbishment projects requiring a strong support beam over openings such as windows and doors, especially where cavity walls are present. The lintel must be laterally restrained and installed with minimum 200mm end bearing supports to safely carry extreme loads. It can also be supplied with optional expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate for added reinforcement.
