The Catnic CXL240 Extreme Load Cavity Wall Lintel is engineered for builders and contractors needing reliable support over wider openings in cavity walls. Designed specifically for 50-65mm cavity widths and 110-115mm inner leafs, this lintel offers the strength and durability required for serious structural applications. Please note, a separate flexible DPC must be fitted during construction to ensure proper moisture protection.

This lintel is ideal for heavy-load bearing in cavity wall construction where openings need to safely carry significant weight above doors, windows, or other wall penetrations. It is commonly specified on large-scale residential and commercial projects requiring compliance with structural load ratios and robust lateral restraint.

Optional extras include the supply of expanded metal mesh fixed to the base plate for improved mortar keying. To achieve the specified load ratings, ensure the lintel is laterally restrained with minimum 200mm end bearing supports and maintains inner to outer leaf load ratios between 5:1 and 19:1.
