The Catnic Timber Frame Lintel CTF5 at 2850mm is a specialist lintel designed for timber frame construction, offering both structural reliability and technical support where it matters. Supplied complete with five restraint clips, this lintel accommodates vertical movement within timber frames, ensuring integrity and long-term performance. Note that accessories like ArchCentres, Stop Ends, cavity weep vents, and soffit cladding are not included and must be sourced separately.

Application

Ideal for timber frame walls with cavity widths between 50mm and 60mm, this lintel supports the outer leaf of masonry (100mm to 105mm thick). Its sloping outer face helps distribute loads evenly, making it suitable for window and door openings in timber frame buildings. The restraint clips allow for essential vertical differential movement, preventing stress build-up and potential damage in the structure.
