Application

This lintel is specifically designed for use in external solid wall construction, supporting masonry above openings such as doors and windows. It suits walls of 200mm to 215mm thickness, providing a safe working load across the span with minimum bearing lengths. Where wall thickness exceeds 250mm, alternative open back lintels are recommended—contact Catnic Technical Services for guidance. Additionally, CN81 and CN71 lintels are suitable for heavy-duty wall eaves lintel applications in cavity walls between 70mm and 100mm.
