The Catnic External Solid Wall Lintel CN81C 2850mm is engineered specifically for builders and contractors working with 200mm and 215mm exterior solid walls. Its galvanised steel construction combined with a powder-coated finish provides robust duplex corrosion protection, making it a reliable choice for external structural support. Please note this lintel is sold individually and is designed for solid wall applications.

Application

This lintel is ideal for supporting brickwork or blockwork above openings in external solid walls, such as windows and doors. It is designed to carry uniform distributed loads safely across the span, with a safe working load (SWL) appropriate for serious building projects. The integral plaster key and ribbed underside ensure excellent plaster adhesion, reducing finishing time on site. For walls thicker than 250mm, alternative open back lintels are recommended—Catnic Technical Services can provide guidance. Additionally, CN81 and CN71 lintels can be specified as heavy-duty wall eaves lintels for cavity widths between 70mm and 100mm.
