The Catnic Arch Centre is a specialist PVC-u arch forming unit designed for use over openings in external cavity walls, suitable for both traditional masonry and timber frame construction. Its durable, UV-stable material ensures long-lasting performance, making it an excellent choice for builders and contractors focused on quality brick archwork. Please note that the arch centre is supplied wrapped for protection and must be checked for damage before installation.

Application

This arch centre simplifies the construction of segmental brick arches by providing a permanent, accurately shaped form that supports the brickwork during and after installation. It is ideal for cavity wall openings where a neat, structurally sound arch is required, commonly used in window and door surrounds. The integral weep vent allows any wind-driven rainwater that penetrates the outer skin to drain safely, helping to maintain the integrity of the cavity.

Installation notes: Do not use damaged arch centres. Remove protective wrapping before fitting. Confirm suitability for your application by referring to lintel specifications. Ensure surfaces are clean and dry. Position centrally on the lintel, trimming the front drip section at the bearing end if necessary for a neat finish. Each arch centre covers openings with a tolerance of ±25mm. Lengths from 425mm to 3175mm are available in 50mm increments with rises of 75mm or 150mm.
