Blue Circle Hydralime is a specialist hydrated lime designed for builders and contractors seeking to enhance the workability and durability of Portland cement mortars and renders. Supplied in a 25kg bag, it is a reliable additive for improving plasticity, cohesiveness, and water retention on site. Please note, this product is not suitable for use in mortars or renders without Portland cement and is generally incompatible with waterproof admixtures.

Application

This hydrated lime is ideal for use alongside Portland cement in a variety of structural and finishing applications, such as bricklaying, rendering, and general masonry work. It improves mortar plasticity and cohesiveness, making it easier to work with, especially when local sands are of poor quality. It can be combined with common cement types including Tarmac Mastercrete, General Purpose Cement, Snowcrete, Procem, and Sulfacrete, to deliver consistent and durable results on foundations, walls, and other load-bearing structures.
